Electrical materials
The electrical materials sector is regulated by national laws and EU directives and concerns not only issues relating to single products but to their final use in electrical installations as well.
IMQ serves this sector with two objectives:
- to provide companies with the means for adding value to their products;
- to give installation companies, and the market in general, a guarantee that products conform to safety requirements.
IMQ provides assessment and certification services for products and carries out inspections of electrical installations, against the Italian Presidential Decree 462/2001, for which IMQ is a notified body.
