IMQ-GS

The GS mark certifies product conformity to German laws (GPSG) implementing the directive on general product safety (GPSD) and other European directives on safety, such as the low voltage directive (LVD) and the machinery safety directive (MSD). Conformity assessments are conducted with reference in particular to harmonised European standards. A GS certificate may only be issued by certification bodies authorised by the German federal administration. IMQ, as an authorised body may issue IMQ GS certificates for electrical material and portable electrical tools. These certificates allow manufacturers to affix the GS mark.
