Machinery
Directives 98/37/EC, 2006/42/EC
IMQ is a notified body for all machinery and safety components listed in Annex IV.
The directive covers the wide-ranging sector of machinery principally used in industry, and safety components.
The Directive requires conformity to essential safety requirements and CE marking, based on a declaration of conformity issued by the manufacturer.
Specific types of machinery and safety components, as listed in Annex IV to the Directive, require a notified body to carry out a CE type examination.
