Product certification is issued and maintained if the following requirements are met:

Manufacturer approval
The manufacturer’s production site shall have production, testing or assessment resources, personnel and equipment which guarantee that the products placed on the market conform at all times to corresponding standards. This is verified by an audit conducted at the production site.

Product model approval
IMQ conducts type tests required by corresponding standards on each model for which the manufacturer requires use of the mark.
 

Production control
The manufacturer undertakes to maintain conformity to standards, for all certified products, and to carry out control tests on a 100% or statistical basis.
IMQ ensures these tests are conducted regularly and repeats them on production samples.
